Call to Worship (from 2 Peter 1:2)
Leader:
May grace and peace be yours in abundance in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
Congregation:
We have come to lift up one another before God that we might receive healing in body, mind spirit, and relationships.
Leader:
Healing does not mean cure; rather it means greater wholeness in our relationships, in body-mind-spirit that we are created to be.

Prayer from India

(In unison)
Like an ant on a stick both ends of which are burning,
I go to and fro without knowing what to do,
Like the inescapable shadow that follows,
the weight of overwork can haunt me.
Graciously look upon me.
Thy love is my refuge. Amen.

Prayer

Written by Ruth Duck

(In unison)
In you, o God, every family on earth receives its name.
Illumine the homes of this earth with the light of your love,
Granting courage to those who are hurt or lonely,
Endurance to those who are care for sick family members,
And wisdom to those in fearful times of change.
We thank you for gifts of love we have received
From mother, father, spouse, child, or companion.
As we have been loved by you and by others, so may we love.
Grant us your peace, through Jesus the Christ. Amen.
