Best Practice Modules (SSAS)

Health Ministries Network of Minnesota is pleased to offer best practice modules for faith community nurses. These modules are a collection of "ideas that work" collected from several faith community nurses in our area. Most modules contain:

  • Background information on the subject
  • Resource links
  • Reference list
  • Actual practice and programs used by parish nurses
  • Resource sheets that can be used as handouts
  • Sample newsletter articles and bulletin inserts

Each module is different in content, format and organization to accommodate the subject matter. While we tried to maintain consistency whenever possible, we also wanted to be true to the spirit and intent of the content and the manner in which we believe these will be used.

*Please note that HMN-MN acknowledges that there are many more great ideas and resources that are not listed in these modules. None of the modules is intended to be a complete resource. Additionally, HMN-MN has made every effort to be accurate in content and in our citations. We welcome your comments so we can continue to update and modify them.

HMN-MN wants to thank the numerous people who contributed ideas and resources to this project!

We encourage you to adapt these best practice modules to fit your health ministry practice. Use them in their entirety or take pieces and fit them into your existing program. Most of the resource sheets are presented in a PDF file, so you will need to have access to Acrobat Reader.
